Classroom Expectations

We believe that children have the potential to succeed,
and our goal is to help them realize that potential.
In order to ensure this success, however, your student must come to school ready to learn, and willing to cooperate with his/her teachers and fellow classmates.

Our  CLASS RULES are simple, &
structured around a few guiding principles:

  1. Be Respectful:  We show respect and honor to teachers, classmates, the school building, and the property of others.
  2. One Person Talks at a Time:   Whether a teacher or a student is talking, we will show courtesy by being good listeners.
  3. Keep Your Body in Control:  Different situations call for different responses.  Students are responsible to manage their own behavior.
  4. Do Your Best:  Students should strive for excellence and aim for growth.  We understand that mistakes are part of the learning process.  Whenever possible, students should correct their mistake, and/or do their best to make amends.

Our REWARD SYSTEM is
structured to

Focus on the Good:

Each child will receive a reward chart.  Stickers are given when students are doing
great work, following directions, or exhibiting exemplary behavior.  Once the card
is filled, the student will be invited to choose a prize from the treasure box!

When a student is breaking a rule, an "X" will be added to their chart.  If the student
receives five marks, their chart will be taken, and parents will be contacted  to
discuss ways to resolve the inappropriate behavior.

Any extreme or disruptive behavior  will be referred to school administrators, and will be dealt with according to school policy.
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
